Product Description
Our gharara dress comprises a green brocade gharara, chanderi top and dupatta. The kurta and dupatta are embroidered with zardozi work. Let us explore more about this heavy embroidery work traditional gharara.
The gharara is tailored from a self designed green brocade with pale gold. The joint between the kunda and gote of the gharara is accentuated by a golden lace. The kunda and gote are made from same hued but different weave silk that create a visual interest in the gharara.
The top of this sharara suit is a heavy embroidered straight-cut kurta in chanderi silk that goes down to the thigh. The V-shaped neck of the blouse is offset by a three-layered floral border at the hemline done in exquisite zardozi work in green, silver, and a smattering of pale gold. The sleeves are three-fourths in length with zardozi border at the cuffs.
The dupatta is made from green chanderi silk with a four-inch zardozi border on all four sides, and booties spread all over combine to give the ensemble an extraordinary grandeur.
This outfit has a traditional brocade gharara and “karchob” motifs on the kurta and dupatta. What sets it apart is the use of chanderi to make the top and the stole and therein lies the uniqueness of this gharara dress.
